Fatronik is a Spanish Technology Centre devoted to Mechatronics that provides RTD services to the industry, focusing its activities on improving existing products and devising new innovative and added value solutions for its customers, most of them SMEs. Its RTD field reaches the manufacturing sector, the robotics sector, the renewable energies, aeronautics sector and assistive technologies sectors. With 75 employees and more than 50 engineers, Fatronik is tacking activities like new prototypes conception. Pre-design and analysis. Executive design of machines and manufacturing systems. Technical feasibility. Technological market surveys. Development/evaluation of mechanical components. Design, development and installation of a 2.5kw micro-wind turbine. Development of a completely autonomous wind/PV hybrid system. Collaboration in several projects with some of the main manufacturers around the world in areas like tower design, bedplate calculations, wind turbine components design and validation, etc. Design of hydraulic/electrical solar trackers for PV panels. Data acquisition, monitoring and data transfer of system variables (variables of an wind/PV hybrid system; variables of the manufacturing process,…). Development of a SW platform that allow agent based management and remote access to machine tool. Development of control algorithms for processes control (friction stir welding, machining, reduction of vibrations,…).
